Ecumenical Charade
Ecumenism is the face of the religious conspiracy to mask the fact that religion is divisive and causes suspicion and trouble and war. Ecumenism is so artificial and obviously shameful that it can’t make any advantageous impact on the world peace scene. Suicide bombers kill for religion because they think they will awaken in paradise. They are the people who sign the affidavit that religious belief causes death and destruction and even peaceable forms of it are dangerous in their own blood. Once you choose faith over reason and human welfare and no matter how decent you are, you are advocating what could snowball into an openly destructive form of faith. All suicide bombers started off believing that God came first not people (a belief advocated by the evil Jesus when he said that the greatest command is the love of God and the second greatest and therefore less important one was love of neighbour – so people are to be valued for God and not for themselves, it is really only religion that ultimately matters). Their belief that religion mattered not people was the seed that grew into the tree that led them to bring on their horrific deaths. They were murderers in their attitudes long before they murdered. Whoever devalues people is a killer in his heart and desires no matter how much charm he pours out on them.
Christianity says that gay weddings are sacrilege and fake and dangerous and no true Christian can attend one. That would be implying approval for the wedding or saying it is tolerable. What if you are Christian and it is your brother or sister getting married and they ask for your support? Religion answers that support is a two way thing. They say that the brother and sister should support your right to obey the Christian faith and not get hostile to you if you choose not to attend the wedding. So if they get hostile it is not you who is causing the discord. If so, nobody then has the right to call a Catholic a bigot if the Catholic refuses to attend say a Mormon service. But if the gay wedding improves life for the couple it is certainly bigotry to keep away from it over religious principles.

FROM SKEPTICAL DICTIONARY WWW.ANGELFIRE.COM/REBELLION2/SKEPTICALDICTIONARY/INDEX.HTML
Ecumenism
means unity and is different religions coming together to learn from one
another, to be at peace with one another, to help one another and to work
together on solving social problems.
Ecumenism will have one of two motives.
One motive is just to soften other religions up to convert them into one
religion. This isn’t real ecumenism for
it sees unity as being one faith and getting rid of the others. Destroying other faiths is the main goal. This ecumenism isn’t about unity now, it is about a future unity of getting everybody in the one
faith so it isn’t ecumenism. The other
motive is to bring religions together without intending to convert them. This one implies that one religion is as good
as another – a view called indifferentism.
Or that there is one really good religion and the rest aren’t so bad but
not as good. The latter form is the form
officially adopted when the Roman Catholic Church departed from the Catholic
faith at Vatican II. It is inconsistent. If you can be saved in a false religion then
that religion is good enough for as long as it gets you into Heaven who
cares? One false religion then will
often be as good as another. So being
the right religion doesn’t matter. If
being the right religion doesn’t matter then one religion is as good as
another. That is why the Catholic
traditionalists who accuse the Vatican II Church of looking Catholic but really
being indifferentist are correct.
Ecumenism is a sin and a heresy for Christ commanded us to believe that
he was the way the truth and the life and to make disciples of all
nations. True Christianity is a divisive
troublemaker. The Catholic Church only
went into ecumenism because the world was sick of religion causing war so it
wanted a sweetness and light reputation.
It’s pure manipulation. This
happened at Vatican II in the 1960’s when for the first time the Church entered
the ecumenical movement. That the Church
from the beginning was anti-ecumenism shows that Vatican II was altering
Catholic teaching and this is heresy for the constant traditions of the Church
from its beginning are infallible for the Church cannot be taught error by the
Holy Spirit. To teach that one religion
is as good as another is the most serious heresy possible and makes you an
apostate, one who has abandoned Christian faith entirely. Christian acts and beliefs are replaced with
preferences and feelings so that the apostate looks like a Christian. This is the heresy of Modernism condemned by
Pope St Pius X. Leo XIII taught that
Anglican orders were invalid for they didn’t intend to ordain priests that
could offer the sacrifice of the
Ecumenism is different religions coming together in friendship, learning
from one another and in working for social justice. Often, they have prayers in common. The chief aim of ecumenism is religious
unity.
There is ecumenism that is really just a plot to convert other
religions. It seeks religious unity by
converting outsiders to the one faith.
And there is ecumenism that does not worry about doctrinal differences
but just wants different religions to learn from one another and be friends but
is not geared towards converting other religions. I call the first Ecumenical Proselytism and the second Ecumenical Indifferentism which
considers evangelism unnecessary for one religion is as good as another or at
least that other religions are good enough but not as good as the true
religion. Ecumenical indifferentists may
still continue with evangelism.
Let’s study Ecumenical Proselytism.
Ecumenical Proselytism hopes that when a Church
and the other Churches get pally the latter will put
down their defences making it easier for the Church to have a go at stealing
their sheep. The Roman Catholic Church
is the most important force in that kind of ecumenism and no one can doubt that
its involvement in ecumenism is just a ploy for bringing all people “home to
The supporters of ecumenical proselytism claim their ecumenism is about charity and love
and anti-fanaticism. This is nonsense
for they adore a Bible as the word of God himself. This book commands murder and genocide and
killing heretics and those who don’t belong to the “true faith” for God
commanded it and God must be obeyed for God is never wrong. The Bible is more explicit and clear on this
being God’s will than the Koran. The
fact that some Christians assume these teachings are the Old Law the Jewish Law
and Jesus has given us a new law means nothing for the new law doesn’t forbid
these murders. Also Judaism which is the
religion of the Old Law is the one true faith.
All Christians believe that except they add that their own faith is the
fulfilment of Judaism, the completion of the true religion. There are two true religions and you have to
belong to the most up to date one which is Christianity. Logically if you can’t get people converted
to Christianity you have to advise them to go to Judaism instead. This means that the Christians are claiming
that the true faith has the right to kill and stir up religious wars if God
commands it for they and Judaism are the one religion except that Christians
are up to date. They are taking
responsibility for those murders. It
also means that Christians if they should give any religion freedom should give
it to Judaism and insist that Judaism has its legal rights to stone homosexuals
and adulterers and so on. Christianity
is a murderous religion in a real sense.
Ecumenical Proselytism is false ecumenism for
it isn't founded on charity. The goal of
each participating religion is to get other religions to doubt their own
teaching and join it. They all condemn
doubting their own doctrines as sinful so this ecumenism is just every religion
trying to get the rest to sin. Then,
infuriatingly, they have the nerve to call sin the worst evil. True charity does not endorse sin. There is no real union between the religions
for each one thinks that every religion should be questioned but their own. This ecumenism is just like enemy motley
crews all tied together and called a unity.
A deceiving religion leads to violence.
If you believe that when people hear the truth the Holy Spirit makes them
know that it is true or know they should investigate then this type of
ecumenism should not exist simply because it is superfluous. The Spirit wants all to believe in “correct”
teaching (1 Timothy 2:4) and according to the Bible faith in the “truth” is a
gift from God meaning that God makes you see that the faith is true so if you
don’t see it then it is because you haven’t cooperated with him. All get the invitation to believe which means
he forces them to believe to let them accept or reject it. Ecumenical Proselytism
would be sinful for it is calling the Spirit incompetent.
The mystical knowledge doctrine means that ecumenists of each religion
must suspect anyone who knows what their religion teaches of refusing to accept
the true religion. It results in a most unecumenical spirit.
It seems that the better ecumenism gets the closer it gets to collapse.
The Christian cliché is that faith has nothing to fear from criticism or error. So looking for the truth about God cannot destroy your faith. The unkind arrogance in this attitude is clearly apparent. There are billions of creeds they could believe and they assume that the one they believe can survive any intellectual dissection or assault. That is putting a lot of faith in their own ability to work out what God has said and in the validity of their interpretation of the evidence both pro and con. So that is the false humility that lies behind their noble godliness! The alternative is to hold that the faith is not supported well enough to stand up to criticism so it is necessary to sweep the problems under the carpet and instead of being nice to other religions to try and outnumber and finally destroy them. This approach which is certainly the one the likes of Jesus endorsed is just plain nasty and puts creeds before facts. So whatever approach you make your own it is clear that ecumenism is just like a politician’s smile – false and concerned only with appearances in order to deceive the naive.
What I call Ecumenical Indifferentism is different religions coming
together in friendship and each participating cult not trying to propagate what
it terms the truth to the other cults.
This kind is clearly stating by its actions that beliefs don’t count no
matter what it states vocally or publicly.
The philosophy of this brand of ecumenism is, forget about differences
and concentrate on what unites. That
says the differences don’t matter. But
they do for that is why separate religions exist. If the differences don’t matter then how
could the truth matter either? It is
evil and insincere to say that truth is only important when other people agree
with it. If the differences do matter it
is the ecumenical proselytism camp they should be in.
They are saying that the agreements are more important than the
disagreements. It is hypocritical to say
that some doctrines are more important than others for if God speaks everything
he says is important for if one iota is wrong the whole thing is shown to be
doubtful.
If you really respect others you will not want them to err.
When a good person thinks they have the truth they will each it to others
for it is best to have it. This
ecumenism is evil.
Nobody has a valid excuse for not knowing if their religion is false if
it is wrong. The thought that it might
be untrue crosses every person’s mind at some stage and if they won’t act on
this thought and conduct an investigation they are to blame for their
error. If ecumenists do not encourage
each religion to learn the truth then they are encouraging them to be
truth-hating bigot societies. The
result? A travesty of unity.
In practice, to implement this ecumenism is to fall into full-blown
apostasy. By it you automatically
proclaim your religious doctrine dubious for you are making it out to be
insignificant. To embrace it is to make
a shipwreck of your faith.
A religion that teaches a definite creed and practices pluralism has no
right to ask anyone to suffer for it or take it seriously for it is devoid of
real faith. It is unfair for different
churches to have differing articles of faith and then to lecture people about
unity when they see no value in dogma.
Different dogmas are divisive so they should all bond together and
become anti-dogma.
Each Church makes no great effort to make sure there is unity of belief
about faith and morals in itself.
Telling people to keep informed is useless for it won’t be done. As long as the Church gets people controlled
enough to put money on the collection plate and to advance its power it does
not care. It is sinful for a religion to
seek a union or other religions to amalgamate with it as one when it is
indifferent to truth. The priority is
uniting its own in belief. Buddhists
know that the world prefers the world to Nirvana so because of these both
Christianity and Buddhism cannot have any time for ecumenism. Many other religions are in the same boat.
The Bible warns that the faith comes first and so precautions must always
be taken to preserve it from infiltrators who pretend to be disciples but who
are really trying to subvert it. The
Bible says that the tendency even for Christians is to depart from the faith
and destroy it. Obviously, the Bible
prefers an atmosphere of division and suspicion to one that puts the faith in
danger. It is anti-ecumenical.
Fundamentalists think that the Devil needs to promote pluralist ecumenism
to accelerate the corruption of the truth and to work up prejudice against
those who love the truth.
Prayers to God offered by pluralist ecumenists would not be pleasing to
God as long as they maintain their self-deception.
A religion like the Catholic Church that claims to be the only true
Church cannot honestly believe that Protestants can be saved for to say they
are in the Church but not in full communion makes membership in the Catholic
Church optional. Then there is the
problem of it being easier to get saved the less dogmas and moral rules you
have for then the clearer your conscience will be. And
If different religions cannot pray together or have any relationship on
the religious level can they be friends and work together for the benefit of
humankind? It seems that each religion
can agree to look for the truth, continue to claim to be the only true
religion, protect their members from defecting to other cults, evangelise one
another and still be on friendly terms and cooperate in many ventures. This is not ecumenism but just religions
tolerating one another.
It is indifferentism for religions to have social projects in common for
it means each one is helping to bring new converts in to the other for people
are attracted to a religion because of what it does more than by its doctrine. A religion that does that does not care about
dogma.
Each cult is best advertised by its good works so each would have to
outdo the others in holiness to get converts.
If it does not it is into indifferentism. Thus, no cult will engage in social ecumenism
because it is just a dog eat dog thing.
Social ecumenism puts material help before helping people to the truth so
it would be anti-God in doing that.
Every religion has to put faith first.
Some say, “Social Ecumenism is not indifferentism. How can it be when all the religions
participate? Each one is recommending
itself and not itself and the rest for the people can’t convert to them
all. They are doing the same good
works.”
But when it is actions that speak not dogmas they are encouraging other
religions to get converts when any religion that pretends to be sincere will
have to try and grab these people for itself.
Each religion may mean to offer itself but in practice this cannot
happen. It will not mean to do that for
long.
Why would religion want to help others in union with other religions when
it can do it on its own? The reason must
be for the promotion of Ecumenical Indifferentism or Ecumenical Proselytism both of which are unacceptable. But their being wrong will be of no
consequence to the religions which participate for they just want to delude the
world into thinking that they are nice and friendly and warm to outsiders.
The
Ecumenical Indifferentism is opposed to Christ who said that he was the
truth. Christ hates indifferentism,
“Publish openly the good news to every creature” (Mark
In 1 Corinthians 5:11, God tells us not to eat with apostate Christians
or ones who are sincerely wrong – the idolaters. He is not telling us to make social pariahs
of them for he encouraged trying to bring straying people back and required
evangelisation of pagans. Eating with
them would signify religious fellowship but he does not want us to support their
religion in any way or to worship with them or listen to their preaching. In short, you associate with them in every
way and preach to them but it has to be a one way street for you. In defiance, Catholicism and many of the
Protestant Churches support and have prayers with other religions. The Bible perceives paganism as demonolatry
(1 Corinthians
The New Testament strictly warns about the infiltration of the Church by
heretics and says it will worsen after the apostles die. When it says that people prefer false
religion to God’s way how could it tolerate anything like ecumenism?
These teachings of separation come from the Old Testament which
Christians are to adhere to in the spirit of the Law (page 5, The Unequal
Yoke). God was so strict that once
he forbade a prophet to even eat in a land where unbelievers were everywhere
and he rejected that prophet and murdered him just because he made a friendly gesture with an
other prophet who had backslidden (1 Kings 13:21-24).
Jesus claimed to be the way, truth and the
life (John 14:6)- that is he gives us the life of God and we experience God
living inside us. It follows then that
he came to be truth and life for us. It follows then that once you believe in
him and experience his life-giving power you have no excuse for departing from
the faith or any part of it. The New
Testament claims to be the truth and that those who believe have the truth (2
Timothy 6:3,4). So it is forbidden for
the Christian to say, “I believe I have the truth”. The Christian must say, “I have the
truth.” There is no doubt that
Christianity advocates stubborn arrogance.
Truth is naturally intolerant of error so if you have the truth then
tolerating those who differ or their views would be wrong. A mathematics professor who believes that
2+2=5 will be rejected from his university and from any gatherings. If you claim to have the truth then you must
claim the right to separate from anybody who contradicts you except to plead
with them to see their errors.
CATHOLICISM'S FORMER UNECUMENISM
The Catholic Church brought out infallible decrees at the Council of
Trent condemning all Protestant doctrines and saying that the believers of
these doctrines were anathema, that is extremely accursed. In recent times the Church has stopped
calling Protestants heretics and says they are separated brethren. It says they cannot be held to account for
the errors and heresies of the reformers.
This cannot be reconciled with
Since Vatican II, Catholics and Protestants hold prayers in common and
attend each other’s services. The old
rule that it is a mortal sin for Catholics to attend Protestant services is now
gone though they are still expected to divert their attention if the minister
starts challenging Roman dogma.
Ecumenical Councils are infallible in the Roman Catholic Church. Lateran 4 required the execution of
heretics. The Church says it refers to
only violent warmongering heretics.
Nothing in the decree indicates that the Church is telling the
truth. It is just a cover up.
Pope Pius XI in his encyclical Mortalium Annos condemned the view that Catholics can pray and have
ecumenical relations with other Christians and yet the first pope after his successor
reversed this position. John XXIII was
this pope. Ecumenism says that all
religions are good. The new Catholic
version says this at least of all the one god religions like Anglicanism but
holds that the Catholic Church is the one true Church and these religions are
Catholic but don’t know it. This is the
same as saying that the Catholic religion is the best but other religions are
okay, they are good enough. This is in
practice, the same as declaring that one religion can be as good as another. The Catholic Traditionalists who have
separated from
In Radio Replies, 1, Question 1089, we read, “Is it a sin for a
Catholic to attend weddings in Protestant churches? The law of the Catholic Church forbids
participation in a religious service that is not Catholic because it is an
implied repudiation of the faith which a Catholic professes to be the only true
faith”. In the answer to Question 1091,
we read concerning attendance at a Protestant service, “Our attendance would
sanction to a certain extent their idea that their religion also is as good as
our own. But our absence from their
Churches gives them food for thought.”
Attendance is not encouraging a Protestant to look into the Catholic
Church to see if it is the true religion.
That rule stirred up a great deal of suspicion and even abhorrence
between Catholics and Protestants for it led to Catholic mourners turning
abruptly away when a Protestant funeral they were attending reached the Church
door. Needlessly insulting a dead
person’s religion is a strange way of paying one’s respects. It is needless for it is one blind faith
insulting another. They should have just
stayed in the house.
The excuse was that praying with Protestants was tacitly approving of their
religious errors. But
The prejudice expressed in the rule is clearly shown in the fact that
Protestants were encouraged to pray during Catholics Masses and ceremonies with
the Catholics, this was an admission that the Catholic Church thought there was
nothing heretical or wrong in Catholic theology about the two religions uniting
in prayer. All this division led to
great antagonism and bloodshed in
DIFFERENT RELIGIONS CANNOT PRAY TOGETHER
When a Brahmin sacrifices animals to a Hindu God, or when a Catholic
priest sacrifices Jesus to God at Mass or when a Mormon goes through the
Masonic style Mormon Temple worship or whatever, these people are saying in
effect, “I don’t care if this act of mine opposes and makes bother for other
faiths. I am doing it to increase my
faith and if my faith is a delusion or wrong I still want to increase it. I don’t care if my action insults and hampers
other faiths or not. It is what I
believe that I care about.” From this it
is clear that no religion that understands what it is trying to do, would be involved
in ecumenism. If it is then it is being
hypocritical.
Can a good Hindu go to a
A religion can advertise itself well by praying a lot. So the religions cannot pray together. A religion’s good works have more effect on
people who might convert than its doctrines so to pray with another religion is
taking a step closer to apostasy. Every
step taken towards a sin is making that sin more likely and is as bad as
actually committing the sin. What could
you expect when you are saying, in effect, “If this ultimately leads to sin
then so be it.”
It is true what Catholics used to say that attending the ceremony of
another Church is approving of what goes on.
You are giving the message that people should go to see the religion
advertising itself and to chance being attracted to it.
People will tend to persist in error if their religion is rated as just
as good as other religions or at least passable.
A person might say that it is not a sin to be in an alien congregation
for worship when one is sure one will never convert. But one can never be sure. You have surprised yourself many times with
the courses of action you have taken.
When you attend another religion’s worship you are becoming a reason for
that worship to take place even if it could take place without you and if you
don’t take part. If nobody went to it
there would be no service. Going is approving
of the service and their errors.
Since faith must come first no member of one religion can attend a
wedding or even a funeral in another religion.
So people who think they are right in religion cannot participate in
another religion’s worship. But if a
religion pays with its own erring members it is only making and keeping its
rule banning going to the worship of another sect out of bitterness and
sectarian pride.
According to Protestantism and Popery we are all sinners except that
Protestants claim that all sins deserve Hell or eternal retribution. So, Protestants are accused of being mortal
sinners most of the time because they believe themselves to be.
That theology accuses Protestant worship of being blasphemous for mortal
sinners cannot sincerely adore God.
Catholics aren’t supposed to assist in blasphemy. They are doing that whenever they encourage
Protestant worship or keep silent when they should speak out. The fact that the Protestants will be
worshipping anyway without you doesn’t make it right to join in. You don’t kill people just because they will
have to die someday. For Catholics to
invite Protestants to worship is to ask them to mock God. And it is a sin to further mortal sin by not
trying to help people out of it.
The Catholic Church cannot be friendly with Protestants and only associate
with them to criticise. One cannot be a
true friend to a mortal sinner for they have turned away from God and love of
others. The love of God and people go
together according to the First Epistle of John which says that you cannot love
your neighbour who you can see if you don’t love God who you cannot see.
Pagans like Hindus and Pantheists usually hold that good is sin and sin
is good and that all religions are really the same. They agree with
Catholicism tells all these groups that God is pleased with them though
it contradicts her own teachings. She
tells them that God gives them the graces to do good in their daily lives
though her dogma is that apart from the grace to pray for repentance and to
repent the mortal sinner gets no grace.
CAN
CATHS AND PRODS LOVE EACH OTHER?
Christians say that they don't believe in forcing people to convert to the Christian faith because they can't force others to convert. The conversions wouldn't be sincere. Translation: we are right and it is unfortunate if others disagree with us. We would force them if we could. What a pity we can't force them or make the decision for them.
Today the leaders of Catholicism and orthodox Protestantism are often
busy hugging and kissing one another. Oh
how false all this is.
Catholics and Protestants are in agreement that all are sinners and in
need of the mercy of God. Catholics
believe in mortal sin, sin that tears you away from God, and which will put you
in Hell forever if you die in it, and in venial sin which is a small offence
that does not ruin the friendship. The
Protestants believe only in mortal sin.
They imagine that they will get away with their mortal sins for Jesus
got all the blame and suffered the punishment due to them for us,
Both cults say they cannot go for long without committing a sin and
Protestantism says that anybody who was not saved by Jesus does nothing else
and say even the saved sin a lot every day.
Anyone who commits a venial sin thinking that it is mortal is guilty of
a mortal sin because that is what they intended to commit. The Protestants are guilty of mortal sin most
of the time.
Unless the Protestants cease to believe that all sin is mortal it is
unlikely for them to be saved. The
person who won’t try to convert them to Catholicism is forcing them to sin
mortally by keeping silent.
If Catholics really loved Protestants they would be trying to the utmost
to get them out of their religion to save them from everlasting damnation. They would be convincing them that they are
wrong to teach that the born again Christian can die in serious sin and still
go to Heaven immediately. They would be
as zealous as the Jehovah’s Witnesses and go from Protestant door to Protestant
door. Every Catholic would be trained to
save them. It has to be done as fast as
possible in case some of them die suddenly.
Moreover, Catholics have a duty to reduce mortal sinning but every
minute they delay they are making the Protestants sin more which is a mortal
sin. To let someone go to Hell or sin
mortally is the summit of hatred.
We are all capable of hate. If you
don’t hate anybody that is leading others into Hell by sin then you don’t
really believe in Hell or care much about the victims. You are more abnormal and depraved than a
psychopathic murderer if you don’t care.
What makes it even more abnormal is that the Church tells us we are
biased towards doing evil. We like evil
better so we should be more prone to hating those who draw others into Hell
than not. Hate is not a sin if you
cannot help it and how could you love anybody that damns souls? Eternal punishing, a beloved dogma of Jesus,
Catholicism, Protestantism and Islam is a doctrine that incites hatred. How could you even smile if people are being
damned? It would be sick to be
happy.
The Church of Rome says that it is wrong to stand by and let others fall
into mortal sin for it is the greatest evil.
If she really believes this she will have to agree with the kidnapping
of Protestant babies to have them raised as Catholics to prevent them growing
up to sin mortally all the time if not all the time. If the babies cannot be reared as Catholics
then they have to be murdered to prevent their being raised as Protestants for
the salvation of their souls. The
Catholic cannot suppose that it is up to God to see to their salvation for that
logic would forbid trying to deflect sinners from unrighteousness and would be
saying that we need to try to convert nobody.
Catholics have no right to allege that it is okay to do nothing for the
Protestants wouldn’t listen to them anyway for they don’t know how they will
react or if those who react badly will not soften up later. If everybody thought like that there would be
no missionary work done – ever. Jesus
commanded missions so he opposed such ideas as excuses.
Converting is the Holy Spirit’s job though he won’t do it at times
without human instruments. His work is
invisible and he is at work inside the person.
This means that Catholics should not be afraid to pester Protestants for
they might be getting through when it seems they are not. God says people are sinners and therefore
strange. Catholics should not shy away
from getting on their nerves for it is better to do that than to risk them receiving
everlasting misery. The only thing that
would release them from their obligation to evangelise would be if they were
putting people off belief but this is no excuse. If it has repelled most people before, today
is another day. It might seem to put
some off the Catholic Church but if they oppose the idea of turning to Catholicism
because of the way those who proclaim it carry on then they are not really
turned off by the Church but just pretend they are to gratify their disgusted
feelings. They have brains and must know
that a religion isn’t proved untrue by the behaviour of its members. They are still open to the gospel. Hostility does not mean that there is no
success for some people do not like what they are coming to believe and won’t
admit their belief.
Instead of loving Protestants by turning them to
Protestants are encouraging sin by reciprocating these relations.
If all sin is mortal, then Catholics should be told. Even if a person will sin mortally anyway, it
is still wrong to encourage it by letting the person feel that the sin is
venial. The Bible says that nobody can
earn salvation for all are sinners so believers in venial sin are being accused
of pretending that they don’t fully reject God.
Protestantism has to look upon Catholicism as a hoax and an enemy and
not a religion. Such a belief would
justify the persecution of the Roman Church.
What you have read is enough to convince anybody that there is no Holy
Spirit guiding the Catholic or
The anti-cult movement that gains most of its impetus from Christians
defines a cult as anything contrary to biblical Christianity. Cult just means religion so it would make
sense to say since it is bad religion that gets the title that it denotes a
religion that abuses its members.
The Christians say a cult claims to be the only way to God. Then they say they are not cultists for they
do not make a religion the only way to God but a person, Jesus. In practice where it counts, no difference is
made so that is hypocrisy. It is still a
person who has them acting in a religious way.
And why Jesus? They are the ones
who say that claiming to be the true Church or the only way to God is
paranoia. So they must be paranoid too.
Plus the Jesus the Christians follow is just the interpretation of their
leaders. So it is really the leaders who
are being followed.
Jesus said that all our feelings and thoughts should be offered to him
and to doing his will. Christianity might
often not look like it tears families apart but it does. It is crafty enough to keep the evil it
foments internalised long enough to delude the world.
A religion that contains prophecies of violence and destruction or an
everlasting Hell is one to be shunned because it shows the religion wants to
believe in these evil things. It is no
excuse that they don’t want to for if they did they could choose a more decent
system of belief.
CONCLUSION
Ecumenism is frequently just a cynical scam to nab members from sister
Churches and to promote the harm Christianity would enforce on us all through
Churches uniting against secularism. It
seeks to do good public relations for the Churches by blurring the plainness of
the scandal of disunity. When ecumenism
isn’t that, what it is, is an attempt to convert all religions to
indifferentism to some degree. When it
is not the full-blown denial that belief matters it might take the form of
believing that one religion might be the best and only true one and then saying
that other religions are good enough. In all its forms, ecumenism is contrary
to the command of Christ to regard your Christianity as the fullness of divine
truth and to keep away from other influences.
The Church says that Christ gave his life to promote and sanction and
advertise the truth and that God valued truth so much that he died for it.

Archbishop Lefebvre and the Declaration on
Religious Liberty. This page argues that
Vatican II never changed the position of the Church on religious liberty though
the Archbishop said it did and contradicted tradition and eventually made his
Society of St Pius X break with
The Church says the state needs God and must
worship God as a state. The Church still
rejects the doctrine that every person has the right to believe in whatever
religion his reason tells him is true for nobody has the right to be
wrong. True nobody has the right to be
wrong but nothing can be done about this for everybody has the right to follow
reason as they see it as long as they are doing their best. The doctrine of the Church is that error
should be suppressed for the common good of the people. For example, if censoring Protestantism would
lead to civil war you have to tolerate their error. If Protestants are taking members from the
state Church and can be peaceably stopped it is a different story. The Catholic doctrine of religious liberty is
that nobody can be forced to believe – that is all.

Doctrinal Summary by Br Thomas Mary MICM. This page
informs us that Catholic teaching is that if you hear of the Catholic Church
and don’t join it or study it your damnation is guaranteed. It affirms that babies that die without
baptism will be banned from Heaven forever.
